Angela Trentmann receives coveted DAISY Award

Angela Trentmann receives coveted DAISY Award

What is the Daisy Award?

Our MBSH Nursing Excellence Committee periodically selects a nurse to receive The DAISY Award. The award, presented in collaboration with The American Organization of Nurse Executives, is part of The DAISY Foundation's program to recognize the superhuman efforts nurses perform daily.

The not-for-profit DAISY Foundation is based in Glen Ellen, California, and was established by family members in memory of J. Patrick Barnes.

The patient's nomination for Angela Trentmann's states: During my stay, Angela showed true compassion towards me. Her pain management knowledge and diligence to ease my discomfort was impeccable. I can honestly say she always manages to find the right things to say no matter the circumstances. Angela’s heart is made of gold. I truly don't know where I would be without her.

Congratulations to Angela! We are proud you are a part of the MBSH team of amazing caregivers.

Pictured with Angela is MBSH Leadership and some team members who were on hand as she received her award.

She’s also been a nurse for the last 32 years and understands how important it is to prioritize one’s health with regular checkups and screenings. When her family medicine physician, Dr. Om Sam, noticed a change in her thyroid numbers at her checkup in December 2023, they were both equally concerned.

Advanced, Ongoing Wound Care Treatment Saves Man’s Foot from Possible Amputation due to Diabetic Ulcer

For Daniel Jones, 62, of Cuba, Mo., working as a drywall taper was something he enjoyed for many years. It was a physically demanding job with hauling heavy supplies, balancing on stilts, and working long hours.
