Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital Announces New Outpatient Imaging Suite

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital Announces New Outpatient Imaging Suite

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is pleased to announce the opening of a new Outpatient Imaging Suite. This area houses mammography, bone density and ultrasound services with much larger, updated rooms for a better overall patient experience. The hospital is adding another ultrasound machine, which will be its third imaging system. A new bone density machine also will replace the current system.

“After six months of construction, we’re extremely excited to launch the new Outpatient Imaging Suite,” said Travis Little, radiology manager at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital. “This is the first phase of several upcoming changes to the Radiology/Imaging department and the first of several upcoming changes to our campus. By moving our mammography, bone density and ultrasound services to this new space, we’re allowing for future expansions in the current radiology department. This is to support the continued rapid growth and demand for radiology/imaging services that we’ve has experienced over the last several years.”

The upcoming second and third phases of the radiology expansion will include a second computed tomography (CT) scan machine scheduled to be available by the end of 2023. These new areas will expand the hospital’s capabilities for patients, providing them with the extraordinary service and care expected from Missouri Baptist Sullivan and BJC HealthCare facilities.

As an American College of Radiology-certified imaging facility, Missouri Baptist Sullivan meets the highest standards in the imaging industry. The hospital’s board-certified radiologists, registered radiology technicians, and sophisticated diagnostic equipment provide an array of state-of-the-art imaging services. These noninvasive diagnostic techniques create quality images of most organs in the body that can lead to the early detection of many conditions.

Missouri Baptist Sullivan’s Radiology/Imaging Department provides the following services:

  • Bone density
  • CT scan
  • Lung Cancer Screening
  • Mammography/3D Mammography

Advanced, Ongoing Wound Care Treatment Saves Man’s Foot from Possible Amputation due to Diabetic Ulcer

For Daniel Jones, 62, of Cuba, Mo., working as a drywall taper was something he enjoyed for many years. It was a physically demanding job with hauling heavy supplies, balancing on stilts, and working long hours. He never thought a seemingly minor injury would force him to not only retire earlier than expected but it almost cost him his foot.
