New Year’s Baby arrives at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is thrilled to share their first baby of the New Year, who was born on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 11:03 a.m.

Dr. Amirah Tan Abdullah, a Missouri Baptist Sullivan Medical Office OB/GYN, delivered Carter Pikey, of Gerald, MO, who weighed 6 pounds 8 ounces and measured 18-3/4 inches. Carter was welcomed by his parents, Sierra and Jacob Pikey, and an older brother.

To celebrate baby Carter's arrival as the first of the year, the Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital Mother Baby team donated a large basket of gifts to the family. The Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital Auxiliary also contributed a $100 check.

“Congratulations to Sierra, Jacob and the entire Pikey family on the birth of baby Carter,” said Lisa Lochner, president of Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital. “What a wonderful addition to our community and testament to the extraordinary care our teams provide all along life’s journey.”
