Sheba the Comfort Dog visits employees at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital

On Tuesday, March 8, a very special visitor came to Missouri Baptist Sullvian Hospital: Sheba the Comfort Dog.  She brought smiles and a sense of calm to everyone she encountered.  Sheba, along with her handlers, visited a number of departments and staff members, who enjoyed being in Sheba's presence.

Sheba is a trained LCC K-9 Comfort Dog at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington, Missouri.  She serves every day in the community in which she is placed and is deployed in times of disaster and crisis to bring comfort to all those affected, including first responders and the volunteers who serve them.  Sheba is a friend who brings a calming influence and allows people to open up their hearts and receive help for what is affecting them.

If you're interested in having Sheba or another Comfort Dog fisit hour company, group or church, visit http://k9comfort.org/ for more information.

Seeking a More Positive Prenatal Experience for Second, Third Pregnancies: Patient is Grateful to Find Dr. Rembecki and Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital

When Hannah Verkamp, 26, of Rolla, Mo., gave birth to her first baby nearly seven years ago, it wasn’t exactly the experience she hoped it would be. So, when she learned she was expecting her second baby, Verkamp decided to go another route: she wanted to find a new Ob/Gyn and hospital.
