Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital Expands EMS Ambulance Fleet

The EMS team continues to have record breaking months serving the Sullivan community. Recently, MBSH and the EMS crew unveiled its new 2023 RAM 4500 ambulance made by Demers Ambulances, one of the largest and most-trusted ambulance manufacturers in the world. Our new unit will assist MBSH EMS caregivers in providing the best treatment possible while adding patient comfort.

The ambulance is packed with features to aid in crew and patient comfort.

  • Dual-ducted HVAC-By dispersing the heat from a duct along the lower wall, and the AC from individual ducts along the top wall, the module will quickly come to the desired temperature.
  • All-LED lighting
  • A roof-mounted condenser for even greater HVAC performance
  • A rugged front grill-guard with air horns
  • All aluminum heavy-duty cabinetry
  • Stryker PowerLOAD-The device helps boost safety by supporting the cot throughout loading and unloading. The reduction in spinal load helps prevent cumulative trauma injuries.

“With the new ambulance our fleet grows to five units,” said Aaron Turner, Manager of EMS Ambulance Services. “Many of our patients live in remote locations, so our units can clock thousands of miles per month. Keeping our fleet fit and ready to serve is vital in keeping up with the level of EMS calls we receive.”
